Oriental Grand Erg

All our treks take place in a part of the Tunisian desert called the Grand Erg Oriental which covers an area of about 400 kilometres from North to South and 140 kilometres from East to West.

It's the home of Saharien Legends and semi-nomadic Berber tribes. Sometimes the desert gives way to oasis with abundant vegetation, or little lakes surrounded by tamarisk and reeds where one can bathe in the hot springs.

Our camel-drivers will guide you through the Saharian dunes to the splendid oasis of Douze and Ksar Ghilane where you can meet the nomads and their herds.

		Rain is rare, but not inexistant due to the proximity of the Mediterranean sea.
